For as little as R50 (approx. $3.60 / €3.20 / £2.80) a month, you can help us provide life-saving care to children and adults in our Respite Unit.

Over the past 10 years HACT’s 24-bed Respite Unit has become a beacon of hope to those suffering from advanced stages of AIDS or cancer but who cannot afford private medical care or treatment or have fallen through the cracks of South Africa’s heavily overburdened and under-resourced public healthcare system.

By becoming one of our monthly Hope Club donors you will be helping to ensure the doors to our one-of-a-kind facility remain open and that every patient who comes through our doors can access the quality medical care and treatment they deserve.

Becoming a monthly Hope Club donor also enables HACT to plan ahead, ensuring we have a reliable source of income for covering all the key elements of our patients’ care and treatment.

For every R50 donation received:

R37 is used for our direct patient costs, such as their daily medication and meals as well as lab costs, medical supplies and nursing care

R7 is used for the maintenance and upgrade of our medical and or hospital equipment

R4 is used towards the monthly running costs of our Respite Unit including lights, water, IT and security

R2 is used towards staff training and development to ensure our team can continually provide the best care to our patients
